Off-campus Housing Options Available

*Statesboro Campus – With a larger than usual incoming freshman class, space for on campus housing is extremely limited. Returning and transfer students are encouraged to explore off campus housing options or our . If you’ve already secured housing, you can remove yourself from the waitlist by logging into the housing portal and deleting your waitlist page.

On-campus housing options for upper-class and transfer students for the 2025-2026 academic year are available at the following campuses: 

Armstrong Campus â€“ Upper-class and Transfer Housing will be in Compass Point

*Statesboro Campus â€“ Upper-class and Transfer Housing will be in Freedom’s Landing and will be limited in quantity. 

Students wanting to live on-campus must complete the housing application for 2025-2026 academic year. Online applications began on November 1.  A sizeable waitlist currently exists for Fall 2025 for upperclass and transfer housing for the Statesboro campus.

Room selection for Savannah Armstrong Campus will be in January  and students will be allowed to select their own room. An email to your campus email address will be sent with room selection instructions approximately a week prior to the date. Please review the housing policies.

Upper-class students will be able to select their own room in Compass Point.

  • Windward Commons is eligible for renewal by special request as it is a community intended for incoming first-year students based upon requests to the University Housing office.
  • Rooms designated for our themed housing communities or for special assignment related processes are not available to self-select into. If you do not see your room available during the renewal periods it means that it is not available for self-selection or that someone has already selected the space.
  • You will not have to pay the non-refundable application fee.

Upper-class students will be able to select a room in Freedom’s Landing on the Statesboro Campus. There is a possibility that RA roommate rooms will open in other residence halls later in the spring semester.

Armstrong Campus
Transfer Housing is available at the Armstrong Campus in Compass Point. You will be able to select your room at the during the spring 2025 semester.

Statesboro Campus
Transfer Housing will be extremely limited on the Statesboro Campus but will be located in Freedom’s Landing. You will be able to select you room during the spring 2025 semester.

Step 1
Go to the portal to complete your housing application.
Pay the non-refundable $150 application fee.
Returning students who have already paid the application fee do not have to pay again.

Step 2
In the application, be sure to select your room preferences or your specific room.
